A New Name For a New Future
From where we started, providing leading mining clients with public and media relations expertise, we began to notice the range of complex communication challenges our clients were facing. The clean energy movement has demanded more strategic problem-solving and support, greater transparency and storytelling, sophisticated branding and simplified communications.
The entire mining industry has been asked to reset. We are too. We must provide the best communications and public and media relations services to address their most pressing challenges. In 2023 we welcome a new name to better capture the range of solutions and services we could offer our clients: We are PRA Communications. We always start by getting to know your organization’s needs. Depending on your preference we can work together on a retainer, a project-by-project basis, or on-demand for proactive or reactive communications execution. For monthly retainers we will work together on a budget and for a project-by-project basis we would define the deliverables, submit a statement of work, budget, and a timeline for you to review. NDAs and contracts are also part of our standard process.

About the Position
PR Associates is looking for a self-starter who will bring a great attitude, energy, and passion to our firm. This role will be responsible for attaining new B2B client business in the relative sectors we specialize in. The successful candidate will support lead generation efforts, prospect qualification, securing introductory meetings, and closing business. The successful candidate will also have experience managing the sales cycle for prospects, understanding a prospect’s requirements, writing and presenting proposals, and ultimately closing deals. The Senior Business Development Executive will also ensure that there is a smooth transition for new clients to be best supported by our client services team.

Public Relations Account Manager
As an Account Manager at PRA, you will work closely with our Account Directors, Account Executive and team of designers and writers to oversee and execute communications strategies for our growing roster of clients.
Who you are:
- Someone with 5-7 years of experience in communications/public relations. Agency experience is preferred, but not essential
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, comfortable engaging directly with C-suite and senior-level clients
- You have a solid understanding of what it means to provide excellent client service in a professional services environment
What we’re looking for:
- Someone experienced in business media relations. Bonus if you have experience working in/with regulated industries like mining, resource extraction, oil and gas, energy, forestry, etc.
- Knowledge of stakeholder engagement and/or interest in public affairs is an asset
- Proven project management skills
- An ability to cultivate strong client relationships
