There’s a running joke in public relations that it’s nearly impossible to explain to friends and family what we actually do.
After a busy April, it seemed like a good time to pull back the curtain a bit. The last few weeks have been a great example of what we do here at PRA, and how we help organizations in the mining, metals and minerals space show up, stand out, and stay ahead.
Here’s a quick look at what April looked like for us:
- Ran a day-long crisis simulation with a company leadership team to test how they’d handle tough situations – and helped sharpen their playbook for when things don’t go to plan.
- Delivered a deep stakeholder analysis for a major project, looking at communities, Indigenous partners, government relationships, and the regional issues and priorities that will shape the road ahead.
- Launched a regional survey project to collect data and help gauge early community sentiment
- Gave an emerging project a fresh investor look, with a full creative refresh, new materials, all culminating with a week on site by our strategy and creative team, capturing photo and video (plus passing through lots of airports).
- Kept the content flowing, with our social and design team rolling out copy and creative across various client channels.
- Kicked off a global strategy push to support potential new mining awareness work across Latin America, Africa, and Australia.
- Wrapped a multi-month, global mining media campaign that delivered solid coverage, great interviews, and results that beat expectations.
- Excitedly welcomed two new clients in the metals and minerals space, both focused on North American and global growth.
That’s just the highlight reel. Day-to-day, we’re also digging into emerging issues, building strategies, helping clients navigate complexity, and doing what we can to ensure our clients realize their business objectives.
