Our dedicated team members are great advocates of this! A couple of highlights about what we have been up to this month:
Mary
Mary is a participant of the Salvation Army Hamper Program. She is pictured here at the Port Alberni location with the other volunteers, Marieta, dropping off food and gifts for their sponsored family. They also sponsored a family in Courtenay. Donations made by the Conservative Electoral District Association.
Celine
Celine has come together with her local Cactus Club colleagues to raise money for BC flood relief funds. They were able to raise over $3000 towards the cause! She also has spent time with her close friends participating in the Stocking Stuffers for Seniors Program.
Ashley
Lucha is Spanish for ‘fighter’. She was found abandoned in a village in Peru when she was pregnant and 1 year old. At the shelter, she gave birth and all her 11 babies died. She spent 3 years in the shelter until I saw a photo of her and knew I had to bring her to Canada and give her an incredible life full of love. She arrived on December and has been a happy Vancouverite ever since! If anyone in Vancouver is looking to adopt a cat or dog, please reach out to Val at Furever Home Vancouver! She works with many shelters in Peru doing incredible work for our furry friends.
